This causes me quite a lot of distress, but I’ve decided the end has come for SYCF. Despite my efforts to revive the site (almost entirely in private), there is a distinct lack of need for us in the community. This may have had something to do with the company I’ve kept, and my lack of work on the site as of late. As much fun as it was to discuss the ins and outs of the fighting game community (as well as Street Fighter), we’re not making as many friends as we need to be, and I’m unable to put in enough work to keep the site updated on a regular basis. Those of you who have joined in our discussions and helped us grow our knowledge of communities have been amazing, and I’m sure you’ll continue to be pillars of your respective fighting game groups. Please keep doing what you’re doing: younger players will need your guidance. Hell, older players will need it!
As far as SYCF goes, I will leave the site in place for the rest of the time we have available with our hosting, and you’re welcome to leave comments if you like. I have had a general rule of approving all comments so long as they apply to the article, and have rarely had to delete one that wasn’t from a spam bot. I will continue to do this.
All of the podcasts are still available on the site, and the last 10 should be available on iTunes, but there will be no more, and I apologize for that. I hope you understand.
Thank you all for taking the time to follow us on our admittedly short journey through the tangled Web. It’s been a blast.
